We learned about multiplying decimals by powers of ten (10, 100, 1000) today. Ask your child what direction the decimal moves when multiplying (right), and how many spots the decimal moves (it moves the amount of zeros present in the power of ten). See if your child can tell you what 4.68 X 1000 is, or what 0.6 X 100 is!
Our grade 1/2 buddies came to our classroom to explore blending colours together using markers and water (the colours bleed into one another). There was lots of great modeling of leadership from both groups! Be sure to check out our most recent twitter post via @Rosscarrock for a video of the kids rollerblading on their final day! Reminders: - Student-Led Conferences the evening of Wed 18th (as well as the camp meeting) and daytime of Thurs 19th have been canceled/postponed (see previous post for further info).
